Another thing to add is a bowel of liquid soap, (ex: dawn) fleas are attracted to this for some odd reason.. Also, hold a light source over the bowel and leave the room for awhile..

The best, healthiest & most effective treatment is food grade DIATOMACEOUS EARTH.Give it time to see results. Then keep giving it..make sure cats/dogs have access to drinking h2o! So DON’T use poisonous chemicals or drugs!!!Don’t do that to them.Vacuum a lot.Regular flea combing helps too.Take a flea comb, big bowl of hot water & toilet paper.Have pieces of tp ready. After combing the cats & finding fleas or flea eggs, wrap fur/fleas in tp,put in hot water, flush.Don’t flush too much tp at once!

Food grade diatomaceous earth is a great flea preventative/treatment for people & critters. Please, no more poisons (including flea collars)!!!You give them poisons then wonder why they get sick in the long-run?!Don’t have a priest-like relationship with vets…question them, do your research on alternatives, stand on your own 2feet.We leave it to conventional vets at times because we are lazy. research.Raw, drug-free diets also go along way to strengthening cats & dogs, keeping them healthier

What I mean by ‘these poisonous products’ are the topical chemicals (sprays, powders), flea collars, baths, bombs, ‘medications’ … such a frontline.

Strange….how you want to scare people away from using brewers yeast,& sound so down about there not being many but what about these poisonous products? You are irresponsible to not caution people away from THOSE!!!! Apparently he hasn’t done his homework or tried very hard to find alternative remedies. Anyways, try food-grade diatomaceous earth!!!!!!! See my next posts

Skin So Soft is an oil. Supposed to be a moisturizer. For people, not dogs. It’s true fleas don’t like it, but neither do pets. It’s not good for them. If you apply it to carpets, the smell never goes away and if it gets tracked around on the carpets, they get sticky. It really does repel fleas, but personally, I don’t think it’s worth the hassle. There are flea sprays for carpets and upholstery. One I found was even safe for use on pet bedding. No smell, no mess, no fuss.

skin so soft almost killed my yorkie, he stopped eating and playing within hours of using it,he just went to sleep and was breathing weird. i washed it off of him, three times and he was back to normal in one hour. it was made for horses i believe?

I dont have my own pet. My sister in laws new dog visited me just ONCE which was over a month ago Since then ive seen 3 or 4 fleas in my house. There was one biting my arm today! Due to having 4 small kids I vacuum my house thoroughly TWICE A DAY! But the little varmits are STILL in my house so I wouldnt say this is an effective way to beat a real infestation! :S
